About This Spot

Stepping into Duke’s feels like slipping into a familiar rhythm of a laid-back Southern gathering spot where time moves just a little slower and conversations flow easy. Though nestled in a simple strip mall setting, the restaurant carries an unmistakable warmth that isn’t about fancy trappings or polished decor—it’s in the hum of friendly voices, the steady clatter of plates, and the aromas hinting at home-style cooking.

This is a place where comfort takes center stage, inviting locals and travelers alike to pull up a chair and settle in for a meal that’s both hearty and thoughtfully prepared. The mood is unhurried but alive with a sense of community—a spot where regulars feel at home and newcomers are welcomed with genuine smiles and attentive care.

At the heart of Duke’s experience is the food, which quietly tells stories rooted in tradition and simple pleasures. Whether it’s the crispy edge of a perfectly fried catfish, the satisfying crunch of seasoned wings, or the variety of flavorful sides that feel like a nod to cherished family recipes, every bite feels like it was made with someone special in mind. The menu’s everyday specials and daily draws make it a place worth returning to—you never quite know which comforting favorite or unexpected delight will be waiting to surprise you.

Beyond the plates, there’s a subtle but unmistakable feeling that the folks behind the counter genuinely care about the experience—from accommodating last-minute large groups to thoughtful gestures like finding that little extra request off the menu. It’s these human moments that linger, alongside the satisfying tastes and welcoming atmosphere, making Duke’s more than just a meal—it’s an invitation to pause, connect, and savor something true to this corner of Georgia.

We had a group of 23 call last minute to see if they could handle our group. Not only did they have tables set up for us when we arrived, but our server Brittany S. was amazing. Our food was delicious and fair priced. Would 100% recommend if you’re visiting the area!

Love this place, usually stop in on my way back from visiting family in TN! Gizzards are awesome, and the sides are phenomenal staff is always great, very friendly

What is lacking in atmosphere in this strip shop center location with an overly open bright lit room, is forgiven with the first bite of great fried catfish. With all the options for sides we tried a mixture. Fried okra & squash get my highest vote. The service was very friendly, even going the extra mile to find honey not on the menu! I was won over & look forward to coming back. The atmosphere totally forgotten when we paid the very reasonable bill!

Holy Chicken Livers, Batman! Duke's is the best! Adding to this review... This is 5 star food mixed with country cookin! Grilled tilapua and shrimp was great! Nothing fancy about this place, but the food says that somebody's grandma is an elite chef. Reasonable prices too.

Great food, great service. Best fried chicken I’ve ever ate!

We ordered Chicken Livers & Chicken Gizzards, Broccoli Casserole & Fried okra. Chicken livers were pretty good Broccoli Casserole was not that good it had some kinda onio powder in it. The Okra was good the Chicken Gizzards were tough and chewy so we did not enjoy the. But we had a great server Brittney she was so nice and she saw we did not eat the Gizzards and took them off. We will be back but for something different. The Vibe is good there.
